We have chosen our first anthology theme for our group.  It is "Beginnings."  I'm super excited.

November 9-10, Detroit. 
Meet local authors for free or pay extra to hear a poetry jam.  (But be warned, its 18+, and it might be that way for a reason.)

Lady Godiva

In 150 words or less tell how an adult woman - yourself perhaps?- "is making change by being active in her local community through charity and/or service work."  She could get up to $10k to be used for community/charity work at her discretion.

Defy the Dark Contest

For part of a YA anthology, write a 2000-4000 word story that takes place at night or happens in the dark.  The top winner gets $500 and 5 copies of the book.
